I am speechless as I attempt to write this blog. As most of you know, I have been working with Adventures In Missions since 2008 and after returning from the First Year Missionary program, I was given an opportunity to come of staff with AIM to work with/co-lead a new program called The Novas Project. I spent a good chunk of time at the end of last year preparing for this new endeavor and was scheduled to go to Mexico last month with the Novas Project. After much prayer from AIM leadership the Novas Project was put on hold last December.
When I found out, I was crushed, My heart was broken because I long to see people come alive in Christ and realize what it means to live in the power of the Holy Spirit and to bring the Kingdom of Christ to earth and this was an incredible opportunity to do just that. I’ve never doubted AIM’s decision or their leadership and I know God is in control of it all, it just left me asking, “Okay, what now?”
After realizing I was not going on staff with AIM anymore I was asked to consider going on the World Race. It’s 11 month to 11 different countries around the world, It’s a spiritual journey of great awakening, it’s an opportunity to see the injustice in the world and an opportunity to DO something about it! It’s an opportunity to bring the Kingdom of Christ to earth, and it’s an opportunity of a lifetime.
So after a lot of struggling with God, praying, listening, talking, sitting, waiting, hurting, and healing God has once again opened some beautiful doors for me to walk through! I can not get over how good He is to me! I do not deserve ANY of His goodness yet He continues to pour it out upon me!
In June 2010 I will leave for the World Race. For me, this is not just another “trip”, not a missions trip or experience or anything like what our American minds tend to go to first. For me, this is the next step in this life here on earth. An opportunity to continue seeking the Kingdom and bring it to earth. An opportunity to continue being a part of the body of Christ, a community of believers that lives as the first church did in Acts. It’s just me trying to live life the way I believe God wants me to. It’s scary but I have peace about it. It requires a lot of surrender which I am not ready for but He is and that’s all the matters.
I want to thank each of you that have been praying for me during this time and for each of you that have supported me SO much in the past and even now! Honestly, I would NOT be here without ALL of the people God has sent to support me financially and prayerfully! It’s true!
I will be bringing a lot more information to you guys in the future! Just hang tight! In the meantime, please be praying for me! Ask the Spirit and He will lead you in your prayers! You can learn more about the World Race here: theworldrace.org
For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh
reap corruption, but he who sows to the
Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.

Hey Mary,
Thanks for the update. I have been curious the “plan” for now. You are brave in God..I just returned early this morning from Acquire the Fire in Mpls. with a pack of kids. What great worship, bands, speakers and just lots of God stuff. Saw Bri and she gave me some photos of the cross her and Megan placed at the site of Sarah’s departure.
Wow..God is healing my heart. Psalms 18:2 “The Lord is my fort where I can go and be safe. He is a big mountain where I can hide. He is my Savior; I can run to him for safety.” He is God..aren’t we glad! You are trusting..love you..from Sarah’s family
When you sponsor a child it not only provides a hot meal, clean water, discipleship, and basic medical care for the child, it also supports their family by inviting them through the gates of the CarePoint to receive training, discipleship and mentorship.
